About

The game is inspired by the book "Around the World in 80 Days", an adventure novel by French writer Jules Verne, published in 1873. This story was inspired by three groundbreaking technological achievements that made global travel possible: the completion of the First Transcontinental Railroad in America, the connection of Indian railways across the subcontinent, and the opening of the Suez Canal. The entire journey in the novel is made using various modes of transport, from trains to steamers, ice boats, and even elephants. The main character, Phileas Fogg, traveled around the globe to win a bet. Along the way, he met various people and, although he was usually with them briefly, always wanted to help them.

In our city game, we will encounter similar themes! The game scenario tries to answer the question: What would Phileas Fogg do if he passed through Krakow during his 80-day journey around the world? But 150 years later – with today’s technology, knowledge, but still with the curiosity and desire to connect with local residents. Players will traverse the city using various means of transportation, discover interesting points on the map of Krakow, and interact with encountered people.
